Advocacy and representation
Building and sustaining positive public opinion and a favorable political environment
Understanding the IssuesUtah politics. We know the Legislators and the issues they wish to promote. We know the friends and the foes of the food service business The URA staff is well connected to in Utah. In addition, we stay informed about local issues that may affect your operation within your community. We research restaurant and food service legislative trends in Utah and throughout the US and form strategic initiatives to endorse pro-restaurant trends and fight against anti-restaurant trends.
Your Government Relations ResourceWhether it's a meeting with the City or Community Council, Health Board, Labor Commission, Liquor meeting, or a session of the State Legislature, we are there to testify, lobby and represent your best interest. We are there when government regulations and representatives overstep their authority and threaten the integrity and good name you have worked so hard to establish in your business. We also recogize those in government who work with and respect the free enterprise system.
Political Action CommitteeIf you need the URA on an issue, the Utah Restaurant Association's Political Action Committee (PAC) is the war chest, the formal policy group, and the legislative action group that works toward eliminating anti-food service legislation.
