The ServSafe® program provides food safety training, exams and educational materials to foodservice managers. Students can earn the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification, accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)-Conference for Food Protection (CFP).

The Utah State Health Department recognizes the ServSafe® Food Safety Manager Certification Course, as meeting all requirements for manager food safety training as contained in “R392-101”. Legislation enacted the “Food Safety Manager Certification” on July 1, 1999.
Although only one full-time manager per restaurant is required, the Utah Restaurant Association recommends that you consider training your day shift supervisor, evening shift supervisor, and assistant managers. The turn - over rate in our industry is prevalent. These steps will ensure that you have certified personnel available at all times for your foodservice operation.
Exams are offered in the following various languages; English, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, French Canadian, Japanese and Large Print. All foreign language exams are bilingual. Please make special exam requests at the time you register.
